So I didn't exactly know what to say, except for "I love you" when photographer Eric send me this picture. His timing composition and everything is so amazing!

As you can see my wings worked this time around. Made a completely new support system and now its wind, walk, and even jump proof!

The costume, mask, jewellery, wings and basket are handmade by me. Check out the rest of my gallery for more info about this costume :).

Taken saturday at the Castlefest 2009!

Copyright at Eric!

On Wings of Gold by *Jolien-Rosanne. The suggester wrote, "This gown is subtle and elegant, which very nicely sets off the centerpiece of this costume, the incredible wings. The choice of background and colors from the basket of fruits to her hair all blend in a way that seem to epitomize the season itself." Also suggested by ^PorcelainPoet. Woah, amazing! Really, AMAZING!
How did you make them "jumpproof"? xD

thank you :). I made a really strong armature for the wings, strong as in: If it was bolted down good I would bolt it down even more, just to make sure it would hold the massive weight of the wings. And with that I discovered I could even jump up and down with them without them bending, moving etc. Which was a nice side-effect :).

Oh, I see. how did you fasten them to your back? They must've been really heavy..

I created a backpack construction using a pvc plate with leather straps. The Iron rods of the wings are then bolted down on the pvc plate. Hope it helps :).

thank you! They took about 3 weeks to make and another week to take all the 'glitches' out (they were my first pair).
